Cupping

Cupping is like a reverse massage. Instead of pushing myofascia into the body the cups pull it out. Glass cups get heated by a flame causing a suction when pressed against the skin, thus pulling the fascia up and away from the muscles. This helps promote circulation, lymphatic drainage, reduce swelling and improve immunity.

Electro Acupuncture

During your acupuncture session the needles will get manually stimulate to encourage more blood flow and awareness to that area. Electro- acupuncture acts in a similar way to provide continuous stimulation between two acupuncture points. It is a way to measure how much stimulation is going from one acupuncture needle to the other. This modality can especially be helpful for neurological disorders, chronic pain, muscle spasms and paralysis.

Auricular Acupuncture

The ear has a microsystem of the entire body relating to the organs, nervous system and physiological functions. The vagus nerve which is the longest nerve in our body that goes from the brain to the gut is important for our parasympathetic/ rest and digest nervous system. The vagus nerve is most superficial in the ear. There are many points on the ear which can help stimulate different organ systems as well as the nervous system.

Acupuncture

Using sterile acupuncture needles is the main modality I use however cupping, electro- acupuncture and auricular acupuncture are other modalities I will also include during your treatment session. The use of acupuncture needles stimulate different meridians, organs and muscles to encourage the power of self healing.
